The Bay Area News Group has a nice rundown of all the measures on the November state ballot so far. We’ve got gay marriage, of course, but there are also measures to build a $10 billion high-speed train between San Francisco and Los Angeles, spend $1 billion on children’s hospitals, and subsidize alternative energy research and buyers of cheap fuel cars to the tune of $5 billion. That annoying parent notification abortion bill is back on the ballot again, as are proposals to change the redistricting process, require utilities to gradually increase their use of renewable energy sources, and spend more money on anti-gang programs. Why hire legislators when we can do all the work ourselves? See you in November!
