Winners of the Diapason d'Or, Gramophone Magazine's Record of the Year, and the Quarterly Prize of the Deutsche Schallplattenkritik, theZehetmair Quartet makes a rare appearance at Cal Performances this Sunday. Founded in 1994 by Thomas Zehetmair, who plays first violin, the quartet performs Mozart's Quartet in G major, K. 156; Hindemith's Quartet No. 4, Op. 22; and the music that propelled them to multiple recording prizes, Robert Schumann's Quartet No. 1 in A minor, Op. 41.
