Youth Code

Opening for Baroness at The Regency Ballroom.

Youth Code, an LA duo, makes music that’s hard to classify but is typically abrasive, discordant, and violently fast — the perfect cocktail of sounds to channel your aggression into. Their latest album, Commitment to Complications, contains thunderous guitar riffs of a heavy metal ilk, screaming vocals that wouldn’t be out of place in a hardcore band, and synths and drum machines of an industrial goth lineage. With all of these elements blasting the listener at once at a frenetic pace, Youth Code’s discography is nothing short of intense and chaotic. The band opens for melodic rockers Baroness on June 2 at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. But, in all honesty, this show would have been worth it as a Youth Code performance alone.
