You Write Too Long: This Week's Feature, Bite-Sized

A couple weeks ago, Oakland Unified Superintendent Tony Smith made headlines when he announced that he was looking to close five elementary schools and consolidate several more. It was a bold move, but Smith's all about making radical changes to the long-struggling district, and he's not stopping at closures.
