Re: “On the Threshold

this is a spectacular show--especially for the contributions of many faculty members from JFKU's Transformative Arts program. The work shown in the actual Red Door Gallery by Kaleo and Elise Ching is provocative and invitational. Their work and the work they do together as teachers is profoundly transformational for everyone who witnesses and partakes. Their true art form is teaching--holding space--creating a safe and secure place for everyone to find their own way to their own ancestors, spirit guides, mask and muses. I encourage you--come to their mask making workshop, study chi kung with them, visit the embodied masters via their art work and find the poetry that flows from your own soul. Learn more about them on their website: http://www.kaleoching.com/ and visit their flickr site to see the student work created in spaces they held in jails, colleges, universities, community events and soulful spiritual retreats: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kaleoching/.
