In honor of Women's History Month, the African American Museum & Library at Oakland welcomes author and award-winning radio producer, Sonja D. Williams. She'll discuss her biography of writer Richard Durham (1917-1984), a gifted broadcast dramatist, journalist and political strategist. Durham used his eloquent literary voice to fight for freedom, equality and justice for all. Richard Durham also collaborated with notable artists like Langston Hughes, Studs Terkel, Toni Morrison, Muhammad Ali and Harold Washington, and they sang his praises.
