Muddied-up portrait of an emotionally distraught young woman (Kirsten Dunst) making things worse by ingesting cannabis derivatives. First-time writer-directors Kate and Laura Mulleavy try to convey the Dunst character’s turbulent mental state by cutting in shots of her hugging trees and wandering aimlessly through the forest, but it makes the film seem padded out. We’re left to decide which is the bigger danger – powerful marijuana or a vague screenplay. Costarring Pilou Asbæk and Joe Cole. Bummer. (100 min., 2017, rated R)
