Rock historian Richie Unterberger will show and discuss film clips of women rock and soul performers from the 1950s to the 1980s. Included will be clips by Wanda Jackson, Brenda Lee, the Ronettes, Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Dusty Springfield, Lulu, Janis Joplin, Grace Slick with the Jefferson Airplane, Nancy Sinatra, Joni Mitchell, Nico, Patti Smith, and others. Unterberger is the author of numerous rock history books, including Unknown Legends of Rock'n'Roll; White Light/White Heat: The Velvet Underground Day-By-Day; and a history of 1960s folk-rock, Jingle Jangle Morning.
