Psychedelic blues-rock can be a tough sell, especially when there are progressive or noodling elements involved. If you're not careful, you could end up longhaired and grungy, wearing a poncho and a shell necklace in the woods. Okay, so the members of Graveyard are a bit guilty on the latter, but what distinguishes this Swedish band is its sacred reverence for '70s bands like Cream and Blue Cheer. Such careful study gives Graveyard the foundation to toy with its own spin on the genre, and the result (on Tee Pee Records) rocks hard. Expect the fog machine to blow and the heads to bang when the band stops through town on Saturday, Sept. 6 at the GreatAmericanMusic Hall (859 O'Farrell St., San Francisco), with headliners Witchcraft and TK Webb and the Visions. 9 p.m., $14.
