Win Tickets to Niyaz feat. Azam Ali at Yoshi's!

Fri., May 29 2015
Niyaz seamlessly the listener on a philosophical quest into unites medieval Sufi poetry, rich acoustic and electronic instrumentation with folk songs from their native Iran and other countries in the Persian and Arabian Gulf.

The band borrows from an historic lineage of Middle Eastern poets setting verse to music, perhaps most famously known today through the work of the 13th century Persian poet Rumi. Niyaz has created a 21st century global trance tradition and emerged with a singular voice all their own.
