There's definitely hope. Kev and his ten-piece ensemble will host tonight's after party for the Oakland International Film Festival, following a screening of the new Public Enemy documentary, Welcome to the Terror Dome. Brace yourself for an exuberant resurrection of Kev's hip-hop forebears, and, with a little luck, a stump speech for his candidate. Screening: 6 p.m. at Oakland's Grand Lake Theater (3200 Grand Ave.). After-party: 8 p.m. at the Uptown Night Club. $5-$10
