Documentary
Diligent but unremarkable documentary takes a relaxed, affable look back at the golden age of Jewish resorts of New York’s Catskill Mountains, where generations of stand-up comedians honed their acts entertaining vacationers. Among the comics shown at work and play: Jerry Lewis, Sid Caesar, Jackie Mason, Henny Youngman, Mort Sahl, Jerry Stiller, Jerry Seinfeld, Buddy Hackett, Don Rickles, Myron Cohen, and, amazingly, Dick Gregory. Narrated by Robert Klein. Directed by Mevlut Akkaya and Ron Frank. Written by Lawrence Richards (83 min.).
