Here are the five best ways to spend your first weekend in February, satisfaction guaranteed:
Feelmore Fresh Fridays
As if First Friday hadn't already become a confluence of every sort of activity imaginable, now you can add some erotica to the mix. Starting on Friday, Feb. 1, Feelmore510 will host a night of kinky films at The New Parkway at midnight after each month's Art Murmur. Inspired by a trip to the Berlin Porn Festival, Feelmore510 owner Nenna "Feelmore" Joiner said she wanted to help bring a little more visibility to the kink scene in Oakland. Films will cover a range of genres, including "erotic, nude, pornographic, and artsy." Ages eighteen and over. Midnight, $5. 510-658-7900 or TheNewParkway.com — Azeen Ghorayshi
Beef Week
It's Beef Week at Wente Vineyards, where from Wednesday through Sunday, January 30-February 3, Executive Chef Matt Greco offers a special menu starring dry-aged meat from the vineyard's own herd of Hereford/Black Angus cattle, whose diet is supplemented with Wente wines. The menu includes bierwurst, shank rillette, sausage with coffee-molasses barbecue sauce, clams in beef-chorizo broth with bone-marrow butter, and more. 6-9 p.m., $75. 925-456-2300 or WenteVineyards.com — Anneli Rufus
Ships in the Night
The monthly queer dance party at the New Parish is, arguably, the best dance party in Oakland. It is, after all, the only dance floor where you could possibly hear Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," Rihanna's "Diamonds", and Ginuwine's "Pony" consecutively, all heralded with equal delight. This Saturday, there will also be mac & cheese served up by The Grease Box, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Teachers for Social Justice. Need we say more? 9 p.m.-2 a.m., $5. http://www.facebook.com/events/300636683371986/
