Re: “Medical Cannabis Etiquette 101

As a first time buyer at a club a few months ago, I was not happy about the treatment I received at Harborside. It was like most people there wre NOT use to waiting on the public or had any retail experience. I'm an older, non-threatening man and felt like I was being checked into San Quentin or some such place. Very unfriendly workers doing the check in stuff. I later went to the one in Berkeley and it was more like I expected the dispensaries to be like. Friendly, helpful people that didn't treat me like I was there to pull something on them. For instance, I paused for a few seconds in the new patients tour to rubber neck over the velvet ropes at the counters about 15 feet away and the woman ran over and was very uptight about it, like I was about to jump over and smash the case and help myself. Later, I was waiting for them to call my Doctor, I stood up and went around the corner about 6 feet to get a paper I'd left on the bench and they tore after me, like I was going to go 'shopping' before getting cleared. They sure don't treat you ike a patient there, only a potential criminal. They didn't chat or act friendly in the least. I knew when I left, I'd never darken their door way again, I was that disturbed by the experience! Plus, I swear that I didn't 'feel' any of the 3 products I bought there, unlike what I got in Berk. I'm not sure if it was the Patients place or not, only that it was on San Pablo. The workers there were frendly, helpful. patient, happy, chatted some and were NOT uptight!! I've been a retail business owner for years, onand off and worked in sales in food, so I know how people should be treated and the Harborside people had no social skills
