WADJDA is a 10-year-old girl living in Saudi Arabia. Wadjda is fun loving and always pushing the boundaries of what she can get away with. She sees a beautiful green bicycle for sale, and decides she will try to raise the money to buy it herself. But Wadjda's mother won't allow it, fearing repercussions from a society that sees biking as inappropriate for girls. Will Wadjda succeed in getting a new bike? Join us for the first feature-length film directed directed by a Saudi woman. Co-presented by Bike East Bay as part of the Women Bike Book Club.
