Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days and 30 Nights –- Hollywood to the Heartland might just have the longest (and worst) name ever given to a movie, but it’s also a relatively heartwarming, sweet ode to the comedy road show. The documentary chronicles a month-long journey across America’s flyover states, emceed by Vaughn, and captures the behind-the-scenes, surprisingly honest experiences of four comedians of varying degrees of success as they deal with everything from family to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Direction from Ari Sandel unfortunately reduces every aspect of the tour to virtual sound bites, and the laughs aren’t as abundant as you’d expect, but the overall effect won’t leave you asking for a refund (100 min., 2008).
