Vermicomposting Workshop

When: Sun., Feb. 1, 10 a.m. 2009
Price: free

What's the greenest, most creative thing you can do with earthworms? At a vermicomposting workshop hosted by the local nonprofit Bay Worms, learn to divert waste from landfills by converting it into useful compost, with the aid of our legless dirt-eating friends. On Sunday, Feb. 1 at the Alameda Point Collaborative (677 W. Ranger Ave., Alameda), the workshop details how and what to feed worms, how to build "worm bins," and more. 10 a.m. BayWorms.org
