Anthony Michael Martin, the missing Berkeley cyclist mentioned at the end of today's Daily Must Read, was spotted in Roseville yesterday with his cycle in tow, Berkeleyside reports. Berkeley police decided this is no longer a criminal case but a private matter. Martin, who is 29 and was evidently on a severe fasting diet that may have impaired his judgment, is "legally allowed to make the choices he has made," a BPD press release stated. His cell phone was discovered on Tunnel Road by another cyclist on Saturday, and concerned friends organized a search party yesterday.
