Two Gallants drummer Tyson Vogel has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the San Francisco indie rock duo's run-in with Houston police during a gig last October, reports Pitchfork. (Read about the incident in our 10/25 news article "Indie Rock Band Tasered.") According to Vogel in an interview with the Fork, a video that shows Officer Gabriel Rodriguez tackling Vogel and frontman Adam Stephens mid-song, then storming around the Walter's on Washington club with taser in hand -- which spread rapidly around the internet in the days following the incident -- swayed the new D.A. recently assigned to the case to dismiss the misdemeanor charge of interference with a public servant leveled against Vogel. In related good news, Two Gallants have an acoustic EP coming out on June 19, a new full-length due in the fall, and a U.S. tour with Les Claypool kicking off Memorial Day weekend.
