Travels with Pelosi (No, the Other One)

Tom Shales of the Washington Post gives a thoughtful write-up to "Friends of God: A Road Trip With Alexandra Pelosi," in which the documentarian (and daughter of San Francisco Congresswoman and newly-minted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi) roams the US of A with a camera talking to evangelical Christians. Some sure-to-be-eye-popping moments: the Rev. Ted Haggard claiming that Christians have the best sex (the now-defrocked reverend was once an anti-gay marriage advocate, but was later discovered to have been trysting with a male prostitute), and a bold assertion that dinosaurs walked the earth a lot more recently than you think. The documentary debuts tonight on HBO.
