Travel Trippin' - Pushing Boundaries

When: Thu., Aug. 15, 7:30-9:30 p.m. 2013
Price: $15-$20
Summer is quickly coming to an end, but if you haven’t had a vacation yet, consider taking a trip via BustingOut Storytelling’s next event, Travel Trippin’ — Pushing Boundaries. Presented by performer Kay DeMartini, BustingOut Storytelling is a live storytelling event: Each edition has a different theme and different storytellers — some of whom are professionals and others who aren’t. This time it will host best-selling author, National Geographic writer, and world traveler Jeff Greenwald; San Francisco Chronicle columnist C.W. Nevius; four-time Moth Award-winner Josh Cereghino; and BART operator Kelly Bearsly; among others. Although the event started in Walnut Creek, it’s now held at The Den (1912 Telegraph Ave., Oakland). Maybe after hearing their stories, you’ll be glad you never left the East Bay.
