Don Cheadle, as an American Muslim ex-intelligence-op explosives expert gone over to the Islamic jihadist dark side, spends much of this fitfully entertaining thriller’s time — when he isn’t carrying out bombing missions against the US — professing his faith and wrestling with his conscience. Which means it isn’t exactly Bourne — but what else is? Director Jeffrey Nachmanoff (he wrote The Day After Tomorrow) cooked up the plot with actor-turned-writer Steve Martin. It zigzags through a sub-Bourne list of world locales with Guy Pearce, Saïd Taghmaoui, Jeff Daniels, Archie Panjabi, and Neal McDonough in its wake (114 min.).
