Tracing Africa Circle - African Dance Histories and Philosophies is a circle of talk series and demonstrations that address the histories, theories and philosophies applied to the practices of the multicultural dance forms of Africa. Session 2 topic of discussion is Dance and Catholic religion, the history of the Mbende Jerusarema dance of Zimbabwe. Sesion layout: Video viewing of the dance practice, brief histories, the circle participation. The circle is moderated by Byb Kongo Bibene and co-presented by the Eastside Cultural Center.
