When: Sat., Nov. 14, 9 p.m. 2009

After last week's body-movin' shows courtesy of the Lobot and La Peña, it's time to venture back across our precarious Bay Bridge -- parachutes strapped on -- for "Jerk It" masters Thunderheist on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 330 Ritch(San Francisco). Dirty synthesizers, trashy beats, and blatant sexuality will get you steppin' to Thunderheist's self-described electro-thrash-powerpop. The Montreal band's self-titled Big Dada release killed it this year, followed by the sick LBG (Little Booty Girl) EP, just out now. Since Thunderheist is "taking a break" in 2010, this engagement is mandatory. Unless of course, you're gasping for breath in the Mezzanine from Portugal's massive BurakaSomSistema. It's a progressive "Kuduro" show, so we're talking African percussion, soca and calypso rhythms, riotous vocals, and a dusty, flatbed truck-worth of electronics. (Yes, M.I.A. played with them.) This weekend gets five out of five bananas, folks. 8 p.m. $TBA.BurakaSomSistema: 9 p.m., $16.;
