The K11 February 6 Craft Sale

When: Sat., Feb. 6, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. 2010

To an ever-increasing degree, EastBay urbanites are grabbing their knitting needles and bringing their artistic talents into the craft realm. Hence the emergence of art studios like Knit-One-One (3360 Adeline St.), a South Berkeley hotbed for amateur stitchers, quilters, and makers of felt bags or crocheted hats. Part social hub and part resource center, Knit-One-One offers gallery shows, outings, and classes in everything from garment finishing to caramel candy making. This Saturday, Feb. 6, the studio hosts a craft sale featuring work by Weaver Kate, ByNieves, Bon Bon Brittle, Bird Vs. Bird, JS Glass, CC Made, Rosemary Dudley Designs, Blockhead Press, Left Bank Shop, Almitas, Bird Mafia, and Aviary Press. It's a great opportunity to buy chic, hand-made goods and meet local artisans. 10 a.m.-4 p.m., free.
