Comedy drama
When a handsome nuclear family from out of town arrives in the upscale community outside Atlanta, little do the residents realize that David Duchovny (dad Jones), Demi Moore (mom), Ben Hollingsworth (son), and Amber Heard (daughter) are really a team of otherwise unrelated advance-directive marketers targeting consumers with fat wallets, under the direction of corporate handler Lauren Hutton. There’s sufficient material in Derrick Borte and Randy T. Dinzler’s screenplay to float a decent lowbrow satire, but director Borte doesn’t press the dumb-laugh button hard enough. “Our family’s fucked,” admits son Mick. You said it (96 min.).
