The Hard Times 5-Year Anniversary Stand-Up Comedy Show

When: Sat., Dec. 7, 7 p.m. 2019
Price: $10.00
Many authors for the punk parody news website TheHardTimes.net are honest to goodness stand-up comedians. Shocking, I know, with headlines like “10-Year-Old Music Snob Prefers Weird Al’s Non-Parody Works,” or “Man Time Travels To September 10, 2001 To Warn Everyone That Weezer Sucks Now.” The satirical news site is hilarious, and now five years old. They really want you to know all about their Big Five with a special anniversary party at 924 Gilman. Rather than have a bunch of bands play (which you’ll inevitably make fun of), they figured they’d cut to the chase, scrap the bands, and bring in a bunch of comedians to do the mocking for you. The comedians include Kyle Kinane, Kevin Tit, Andrew Holmgren and Sacramento’s great deadpan himself, Johnny Taylor.
