The Bright Tenderness of Reality

When: Sat., June 25, 7-8:30 p.m. 2011

The ease of Internet correspondence has made it at times more convenient than real-time communication -- so much so that the parameters in which art is created and consumed are being revised. Take Petaluma artist Corey Hitchcock's gallery show The Bright Tenderness of Reality; she and East Bay curator James Linnehan prepared for her screening of eight esoteric, ephemeral films almost exclusively via the web, and the result can be viewed on Saturday, June 25 -- not just by active gallery-goers in person at JFK University's Arts and Consciousness Gallery (2956 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley), but also by more passive web-surfers through a live stream at CulturalInquiry.org. 7 p.m., $5 suggested donation. 510-525-9560
