The Bay Guardian is Right! Who Knew?

Since we've done our share of ripping on the San Francisco Bay Guardian, we guess we oughtta point out those moments when executive editor Tim Redmond sez something we like. Case in point: the Blue Angels. While we don't particularly care if the air show is designed to sucker kids into signing up for the Air Force (anyone fool enough to fall for a few planes zipping through the sky was always going to join, and would be put on axel grease duty anyway), we've always been a little annoyed at the annual aerial parade past Lenin's Tomb. So when a Blue Angels plane crashed in San Diego on Monday, and Redmond used the opportunity to call for the end of the air shows over the bay, we thought that was just nifty. Of course, Redmond's post drew such comments as "scare monger," "yellow journalism," "you suck," "can't wait for you to get a pink slip," and "fuck you." But however odd it feels, we'll stand by our man in the 'stache and the ponytail.
