A bewildered troupe of Egyptian classical musicians in baby blue uniforms arrives in Israel for a cultural exchange performance -- only to end up in the wrong town, a desert village where the biggest attractions are the cafe and the roller rink. Thus does Israeli writer-director Eran Kolirin introduce us to the concept of ordinary Israelis and Egyptians getting along with each other one to one, over a meal and a sing-along of Gershwin's "Summertime." Slight but more than slightly charming, with perfect performances by Sasson Gabai as the colonel, Ronit Elkabetz as the cafe owner, and Saleh Bakri as a handsome trumpet player (87 min.).
