Patients must come first! A patient injured by medical errors must be taken care of and a budget from the 1970's does not do it, instead the burden is passed onto the patient and taxpayers. This out of date law victimizes the injured patient again. Do the right thing and vote YES on 46!
As an RN, I am drug tested very frequently. I do not mind because the addiction rate in this industry is high and I do not want to work along side someone on drugs. It is the right thing to do to keep patients safe. Why would anyone oppose this?
A state wide data base for narcotic prescriptions is a very smart move. Studies are proving the surge in heroin use in this country is coming, in part, from patients that became addicted to oxycodone and vicoden. This will save lives, isn't that what this industry is about?
