Sustainable Gardening and Farming Classes

When: Saturdays, 10 a.m. Continues through April 4 2009
Price: $10 per parent/child team per class; $50 per course

In a shattered economy, we've still gotta eat. And the cheapest food is food you've grown yourself. Even a teensy plot of ground can yield edibles all year 'round. Learn how to create a rotating harvest of greens, beans, tomatoes, and more at sustainable gardening/farming classes for parents and kids at the East Bay Waldorf School (3800 Clark Rd., El Sobrante) on Jan. 17 and subsequent Saturdays until April 4. 10 a.m., parent-child team: $10/class, $50/course.
