"Sunshine: Good or Bad?"

When: Tue., May 25, 6 p.m. 2010
Price: free

Our ancestors worshipped the sun. These days, afraid of the ozone hole, we slather our skins with substances that screen out the sun's effects. In a talk titled "Sunshine: Good or Bad?" at Pharmaca (5729 College Ave., Oakland) on Tuesday, May 25, naturopathic doctor Elizabeth Korza discusses sunscreens, skin cancer, vitamin D, and new research suggesting the benefits of safe sun exposure. 6 p.m., free.
