Re: “Esther Traugot's Funeral for Bees

It is unfortunately a popular myth perpetuated by the EcoActivist left that the honey bee is dying or in danger. Since 2006, when the number of commercial colonies was at 2.1 million, and when the meaningless term CCD - Colony Collapse Disorder was coined, there has been a 50% increase in the number of colonies to approx 3 million. The four important metrics in the industry are all up - number of colonies - pounds per colony - total pounds and price per pound - all up significantly. The losses that are being reported are mostly from Newbees, newbeekeepers - who by the way - fewer than 10% stay active in beekeeping for more than three years.
