Re: “Climate Change Will Unleash Buried Toxics

I agree with the commenters debunking the carbon dioxide/global warming myth. In my town, Alameda, the city council recently approved a redeveloper for the golf course. The developer who won the bid was chosen because he pledged to bring in a lot of dirt in order to raise up the course’s ground level. The council was concerned about sea level rise due to global warming! You’d think they’d be more concerned about the thousands of people who live in the houses that surround the golf course; won’t they be inundated? The things people will go through to make a buck!

This global warming scare has got the hucksters coming out of the woodwork! Every little bad thing that is happening or can happen is based on global warming and fossil fuels. I’ve been living in the Bay Area for forty years and I can state for a fact that sea level has not risen the whole time I’ve been here. I go down to the ocean side or the bay side at least once a month or once a week and the same rocks are still there at the same level and the strand is still there in the same relationship to the roadway and the buildings as it was when I came out here.

So much speculation about every little thing, fed by charlatans in white lab jackets who have too much time on their hands, too much money, and too many expensive computers. None of it is based on measurements, it’s all guesswork or wishful thinking. With enough computer power and enough docile and submissive graduate students, you can make a computer model say anything. As one scientist said about models, “give me four parameters and I’ll make you an elephant; give me a fifth [parameter], and I’ll make it walk down the street”.

Check out this site on Numberwatch called “The Warm List”:
It catalogs all the terrible things that are happening because of global warming. As you’ll notice, many are contradictory.
