Re: “Occupy Wall Street Hits Oakland on Monday

The San Francisco protest has not died down, peacefully or otherwise. SFPD took away the campers' tents and stated that structures on the sidewalk are illegal. But the campers are still there, just in sleeping bags with no tents. There are 20-40 regular campers and nightly General Assemblies with 100-200 people. There are people lining Market Street day and night with signs, supported by the honks of the drivers passing by.

Today they marched to Dolores Park, rallied, then returned to 101 Market in front of the San Francisco Federal Reserve building. They're still there. They're growing. They're camping out. They just don't have tents. That's all that changed.
