Steve Hurst

When: Sun., Oct. 27, 2-7 p.m. 2019
Artist/clockmaker Steve Hurst has had a remarkable journey, starting with life in the Chicago projects, moving through music, and finding a timely niche making one-of-a-kind clocks from reused and recycled materials. Each one has a name and a story, such as “Three Generations of Music,” made from vintage, as well as not-so-vintage audio gear and pieces of glass. But last year, Hurst suffered a severe injury in a bike accident and is just now returning to work. Find time to stop by his one-day exhibit, where you can meet Hurst, who also takes commissions using contributed objects. He’ll share the show with fellow Point Richmond artist Sean Papillion, whose figurative and abstract paintings combine color and mystery.
