St. Paddy's Day Block Party at Slainte 

When: Sun., March 17, 10 a.m. 2019
Celebrate St. Patrick's Day the Irish way this Sunday at Sl<0x00E1>inte, the Jack London district Irish pub started by Irish-born chef-owner Jackie Gallanagh. They'll be blocking off the street for a day full of Irish music, dancing, and food. Enjoy musical performances from Celtic bluegrass act Pog Mo Thoin Band, traditional Irish band Cularan, and more traditional music, including uilleann pipes. Watch dance performances from the Dillon Magh Adhair Academy of Irish Dance and the McBride Irish Dancers. Plus, there'll be face painting for kids and kids at heart. As for food, there'll be oyster shucking on site, plus a special St. Patrick's Day menu including smoked boiled ham (not that Irish-American invention of corned beef) served with cabbage and potatoes, Irish lamb stew, shepherd's pie, fish and chips, Brussels sprouts, and fried chicken sandwiches.
