Souls of the City Wine Festival

When: Sun., Feb. 25, 3 p.m. 2018
Price: $42
Formerly known as Urban Vines Wine Festival, the rebranded Souls of the City is back for a laid-back afternoon of sipping and swirling. What sets this particular boutique wine festival apart is its focus on African-American winemakers and Black-owned wineries, including FLO Wine, Longevity Wines, Charles Wine Co., and Bass Note Sangria. Your ticket will let you sample the work of roughly a dozen wineries as well as cheese and olive oil. A portion of the proceeds will go toward production costs for the documentary Journey Between the Vines: The Black Winemakers’ Story, and the filmmaker will be around to chat wine history as well. No tickets will be available at the door.
