Things are looking pretty good for Sonny and the Sunsets right now. Singer-songwriter Sonny Smith successfully launched his 100 Records project in March. Then last month Smith and his band, The Sunsets, were added to this year's Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago (July 17). Now the band has signed to Fat Possum for the release of Tomorrow Is Alright, which streets August 31, 2010. The band — Smith, Tahlia Harbour of Citay and The Dry Spells, Ryan Browne, and Kelley Stoltz — plays Bottom of the Hill on Sunday, June 27. That's a lot more intimate — not to mention cheaper — than a trip to Chicago.
