Action/Adventure, Horror, Suspense/Thriller
Easily the most buzzed-about -- and divisive -- film of the summer, Snakes on a Plane is a self-aware action flick employing equal parts irony and suspense. The premise -- on board a flight above the Pacific Ocean, an assasin bent on killing a fellow passenger lets loose a crate of deadly snakes -- may sound preposterous, but that's the point. After all, none other than Samuel L. Jackson of Pulp Fiction fame is in the lead role. Fun fact: 450 snakes were used in the filming, including one 22-foot-long Burmese python.
