Singled Out on BART

When: Mon., Feb. 14 2011
Price: free
Let's be honest: Aside from being a means of transportation, BART makes for a damn good meet market. Think about it: all those attractive people pressed up against each other; the aphrodisiac screech of the train; the alluring cross-section of office drones, students, and shady-looking types clandestinely boozing; the outrageous prices - it might as well be a trendy pick-up bar. So it's a wonder nobody thought of Singled Out on BART sooner. Set for Monday, Feb. 14 (Valentine's Day, naturally), the grassroots event invites folks to indicate their unattached status by tying ribbons around their fingers (pink if you're looking for a woman, blue if you're looking for a man). The rest is up to you. All trains, all day, free (with the cost of fare).
