Re: “Yelp and the Business of Extortion 2.0

I have also had quite a lengthy go-around with Yelp over reviews. And, sure enough, they DID start calling after the reviews of my business started to appear. When I refused to advertise, my reviews disappeared. When I simply relocated, they put a huge CLOSED message on my page and shut off my business owner access. The reviews disappeared and a new page was added for the new location. The rep at Yelp said they couldn't remove the old account, or transfer my reviews.
Not only that, but I have not been able to access my new page, either. The rep says there is a 'technical' issue that will not let me create a new business owner sign-in. People can still post reviews on the old page, as well. i also have had quite a few people assume we are closed. When I asked about the reviews being removed, the sales rep gave me a long justification, which included info that I know-for a fact-is NOT true. i live near the company and know people who have worked for them. What a joke!
