Re: “Becoming Oona

@Rachel Swan - Ok, well the definition at the top of the following link is the one I am most familiar with. I haven't heard it been referenced as a single computer generated sound.…

Just for clarity, does that mean you consider anything out of a electronic keyboard a "sample?"

Re: “Becoming Oona

I've listened to the album and I don't hear any samples. That fact may need to be checked by the author.

Also I don't hear, in any lyrics of any songs of the album, this celebration of excess that the author mentions. I don't hear it in the production either. I don't believe this is an accurate statement, merely an opinion and I'm not sure what it is based on. It certainly shouldn't be the header for the article.

Also, the author never properly names the band. The band is named OONA, all capital letters. When reviewing an album it is customary to name the band that recorded it. You wouldn't write "u2, but they prefer to use a capital U" and then say "xxx is the album u2 released in November," would you? Hell, the article isn't even tagged with the band name.

Intentional or not, this article has a bit of a condescending tone that I don't feel is deserved by the artists.
