Re: “With Death Comes Comic Relief

I'm stunned by both the lack of understanding by both the subject of this piece, and the interviewer. Anyone who knows anything about comics knows that graphic novels are a huge sales category in both comic stores and book stores. Otherwise, we'd all have gone out of business ten years ago when B&N/Borders/Amazon started carrying them.

As others have noted, this article is riddled with inaccuracies. To be blunt Ms. Swan, you got everyone's names right, but that's all you got right; It's unfortunate that you chose to publish an article without any research or understanding of the comic industry.

For those of us who knew Rory, work in the field, or know the legacy of Comic Relief, there's little in this piece resembling the reality of working in comics, or how Rory pushed the industry into accepting graphic novels as a viable and profitable form.

I suggest that when doing future articles, you do some additional research and get more points-of-view. Hopefully you'll get it right next time.
