Re: “Disappeared in Death

So stealing and being a drug dealer is being a good person?! I don't think so.
Josh made many bad decisions in his life and he paid the price. There are actual "good" people who get killed on a daily basis that deserve sympathy....Josh, not so much.

Re: “Courtney Ruby Returns to Run for Oakland Auditor

Len, as with a lot of positions in industry and especially government it's all about checking the box. When @#$@ hits the fan one of the easiest questions to ask to CYA is the person qualified. This helps with that argument.

I'm not saying I agree or disagree, but it's the way the game is being played.

Re: “Oakland Councilmember Lynette Gibson McElhaney Proposes Removing Eviction Protections from Thousands of Apartments

Hopefully this proposal to screw small landlords doesn't get through. Funny how the city is burdening the people with private property instead of smartly using the city's money.

Re: “Why Hasn’t Oakland Sued the NFL Yet?

Sorry Daniel this is the Oakland way. Half asleep and half-baked. City government is a failure on several levels yet we continue to re-elect the same failed people.

Re: “East Bay Activists Push for a Bigger Fight

People are either choosing to ignore the difference between legal and ILLEGAL immigrants or they're just that ignorant.

There is a difference.

Re: “Election Results in Alameda County District Attorney's Race Reveal a Stark Divide

How about don't do the crime? I know, a novel concept.

You ever stop to think that why people of color are stopped more and commit more crime? Sure we can blame the "justice" system but ultimately it comes down to family unit and the emphasis of education vs. the street life. This victim mentality throws any sense of personal responsibility out the window which is far too convenient. BTW, I'm a person of color.
