Black Crown Gallery is pleased to present our inaugural exhibition, Ritual Geometries, on view August 5th - September 10th. Opening reception on August 05th, 6:00- 9:00pm. The exhibition features the work of Tanja Geis and Masako Miyazaki—two Bay Area artists who draw from the detritus of their environments and perform the rites of transformation in order to point to our devotion to the culture of consumption and the complication of our ecological perception. In doing so, their works serve as a surface to reflect upon our conception of the world we inhabit—and an opportunity to recalibrate our relationship to it.
