For those of us who have been dreaming of the day Michael Corleone and Travis Bickle would star in the same movie together, that day has finally come — Righteous Kill gives Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro more than just screen credit together, as they earned for The Godfather II , and a hell of a lot more than the meager scenes they shared in Heat. Unfortunately, the script they finally opted to team up for is wanting. Little more than a by-the-book maniac-on-the-loose cop movie, it rehashes plenty of clichés to tell the story of old detectives tracking a serial killer of unpunished criminals who may also be a cop and, dun dun dun, may also be one of them (100 min.).
