On Facebook yesterday, Grand Daddy Purp breeder Ken Estes stated "WIth all the CBD research that's come to light, we have worked hard to develop a superior CBD strain for our patients and we are so proud to be recognized for our accomplishments. When we win our patients win."

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-euphoric, anti-inflammatory, anti-convulsant, anti-psychotic and anti-anxiety molecule in cannabis, that is sought after by people suffering from a variety of conditions for which cannabis is effective, including anxiety, and arthritis pain. The U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services tried to patent CBD as a neuroprotectant during stroke.

The 2013 High Times Medical Cannabis Cup Los Angeles went down January 16 and 17 in San Bernardino, after the Los Angeles Police Department made successful, last-minute moves to block the event from coming to L.A. as well as Glendale.
