Re: “Richmond Developer Pushes Two Ballot Measures

We received information that the mayors office reviewed the filings with the city clerk and had full and complete knowledge that Richard Poe didn't fund the salary initiative. This however didn't fit into the narrative the mayor needed to try and discount the voters whom signed the initiative . The mayor is pushing for a new contract with a pay increase for this Tuesday Nov 17 for the city manager . Mayor Butt is doing this for two reasons , one to get a contract in place before the city council has to except the petition on the salary issue and the second is have the contract in place just prior to the standards and poors expected downgrade of the cities credit to Junk Bond on Dec 1st .
Im also informed Mayor Butt has requested an attorney from San Franisco be hired to challenge the salary petition once it's certified .

Also to be clear I fully approve of the salary Initiative , the city council has to get control of these runaway salaries , and you need to start for the number one position in the city .

In terms of the mayor and his sons republishing this article in different formats it'll be interesting to see if they publish the required retraction .

Measure C is interisting , the reason the voters rejected measure C was do to the fraud surrounding the measure , which included the fact the hospital board was forced to admit that they did not have targeted the 100 million required to retrofit the hospital for seismic . There answer was to get an extension from the government in Sacramento . We made it 100% clear myself and the other person the sponsor , that if doctors medical center could prove they would not go back to the voters yet again for more money we would support measure C . It's my understanding the health care needs are being covered satisfactory , by recent publication in the times .

However this has nothing to do with the out-of-control spending at City Hall and lack of management controls identified by Standard & Poor's . It's clear the financial hurricane is about to hit . I predict the voters will be so upset with the upcoming actions of the city Council that a recall isn't out of the question if some concern voters had the mind set to pursue this to get good honest leaders to solve these tremendous problems .

Mayor but has admitted that he had full knowledge of the pending financial crisis yet Chose not to disclose it to the voters , but instead promoted measure U to plug the whole in the budget , while lying to the voters saying it would be used for repairing the streets .

Re: “Richmond Developer Pushes Two Ballot Measures

Is this a joke ? If you are a member of the chamber of Commerce and they support your position , doesn't mean you filed the initiative or funded it . Really 2010 filing translated to a newly purchased mansion in Florida ? I own no property in Florida , so here is the deal , retract your know errors , this isn't my petition I don't own a Manson in Florida . Also since you have zero credibility , I assume you made of up this " developer " also . I will never grant you an interview to you since your not responsible , have your editor contact me . Also we can't find your legal department to discuss A retraction , please post your lawyers contact information .

Re: “Richmond Developer Pushes Two Ballot Measures

This reporter also failed to get a copy of any petition he used for the article . To be clear , Richard Poe never filed a Initiative for the city manager salary , this reporter should have called the person which authored and filed the Initiative . That's reporting 101.
It appears the real author of this Article was a local architect and acting mayor Tom Butt .

The other story is Standard & Poor's rating , is on track to be lowered Dec 1st , 2015 to junk bond statues , which will require the city to scramble to cover Bonds for the civic center at a cost of around $ 25 million .
I suggest , you look at the financial health of the city which is the real story .

Re: “Richmond Developer Pushes Two Ballot Measures

All I can say , this reporter must have been in a creative writing class. The article as written has a lot of libelist statements. I suggest first the report go to the city clerk and see the required filings . I did not fund the salary Initiative , a junior reporter would find this out. Also check the property records in Fort Lauderdale , I own no property in Fort Lauderdale . Also if you would have check the law based on having 15% of the voter signature on the housing Initiative qualifies it for the June ballot . We have no record of any phone calls from the east bay express . I look forward to your retraction . Richard Poe
